Pietroasa Viticulture and Winemaking Research and Development Station operates within the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, with subsidiary status, according to the provisions of H.G. no. 2185/20 December 2004.

It carries out its activity on the principle of self-financing, having as object of activity:

  • scientific research and the extension of research results;
  • students training, under production conditions;
  • wine-making production activities;
  • providing expert advice to individuals and businesses;
  • making efficient use of the results obtained.

The leadership of S.C.D.V.V. Pietroasa is provided by the Steering Committee, composed of 5 members, designated by the U.S.A.M.V. Senate. Bucharest. The Board of Directors is composed of the President of S.C.D.V.V. Pietroasa, director of S.C.D.V.V. Pietroasa and other members being appointed by the U.S.A.M.V. Senate in Bucharest, from the members of the Senate or university professors of specialty within USAMV Bucharest.

Operative management of S.C.D.V.V. Pietroasa is provided by:

  • executive director;
  • technical director;
  • chief accountant.
